At-home lab tests

In addition to at-home self-tests, The Tester also offers lab tests that you can easily collect at home and send to one of our partner laboratories. These at-home lab tests are CE-certified, ensuring high safety and accuracy.

Our range currently includes rapid tests with laboratory analysis, for example for a microbiome analysis or DNA determination, complemented by a selection of practical self-tests.

Which at-home lab tests are available?

Just like regular self-tests, there are various types of lab tests you can perform at home and then send to a professional laboratory. In general, these lab tests can be divided into several categories:

  • Blood tests: Often used to determine blood values, vitamin and mineral levels, allergies, or blood groups.
  • Urine and stool tests: Used to analyze the microbiome, kidney function, gut health, or to detect infections.
  • Saliva tests: Informative for DNA analyses, hormone tests, or genetic predispositions.
  • Swab tests: Throat, nasal, or vaginal swabs to investigate infections.

All tests are delivered to your home as a test kit with instructions and can then be carried out comfortably. The sample is then sent by post to an accredited laboratory, which performs the analysis and provides a report available as an online document.

Lab test vs. self-test

Both self-tests and lab tests have their own advantages and disadvantages, but both are ideal for a convenient health check at home. The table below lists all features and the pros and cons of The Testerโ€™s lab tests and self-tests.
